Profile Form
The Profile Form is filled out by all participants when they create their accounts. The answers to these questions will be used for matching participants for your program.
Qooper's Profile Form is created with the best practices for our matching algorithm. Profile Form questions can be assigned to either Mentees, Mentors, or both. Please work with your customer success manager to make any changes to the questions/
Question Capabilities: Questions in your Profile Form can be hidden from users when filling out the form (for HRIS imported responses), shown on user profiles, made required or optional, and used in matching.
Question Response Types:
- Short Text
- Long Text
- Number
- Date
- Location
- Single Choice ** Used in Matching Algorithm
- Multiple Selection ** Used in Matching Algorithm
Best Practices: Multiple Choice and single choice questions are recommended to be used more often to minimize the manual lift when matching. We suggest not using any more than 2 multiple choice questions in the Profile Form. More than 2 negatively impacts the algorithm. Short and long text responses should be minimized for programs larger than 40 participants.
Matching Algorithm
Definition: Our software’s algorithm will match users based on their responses to the Profile Form questions. All questions in the Profile Form designated as “Use in matching algorithm” will appear under the Matching Weight table. Below you can see the Matching Weights which Program Admin can customize to indicate how important each criterion is in the matching algorithm.
The higher the weight the more important this section is considered when the match is being calculated. For example, when admins want to match people based on their skills, skill weights need to be the highest. Assigning the highest matching weight to the location ensures that the matching algorithm prioritizes matches based on proximity.
Best Practices: We do not recommend putting any Matching Weight at 10. We recommend a minimum of a 30% match rate for all matches.
